500 Gram 3" Racks
The 500 Gram 3" Rack Multishots are the biggest multishots on the market for consumers to buy. These are lit with a single fuse and will shoot consecutive shots out of it. Racks usually consist of 9 total shots. A step down from that are normal 500 gram multishots and then another step down from that are 200 gram multishots. 500 grams is the maximum amount of pyrotechnic powder allowed in a multishot. One of these is meant to have a fireworks display in a box with anywhere from 5 to 500 shots and usually last 10 to 90 seconds in duration. Each multishot can be considered its own show since they usually have tons of variety in terms of colors and effects. Typically, the multishots with fewer shots (usually under 20) will have much bigger breaks because more powder is used in each shot. Multishots with more shots will have smaller breaks but typically provide more action and variety. Regardless of the shot count a multishot can come in two forms of firing direction. Multishots with vertical firing will shoot straight into the air. Multishots with angled shots will provide a wider display of fireworks in the sky. Expect the height to range from 50-250 feet in the air depending on size. 500 gram versions require a larger shoot area compared to a 200 gram which in many cases can be done safely in a backyard or at the end of a driveway on a hard flat surface.

Artillery Shells

Artillery Shells or Mortars depending who you ask are products that produce the largest and loudest firework displays. The shells are loaded individually into a provided launch tube with a long fuse that is lit from the top. The shells come in ball or canister forms. Balls will produce symmetrical (round) breaks and will usually have better color quality. Canister shells are the biggest, highest, loudest, and most variety packed firework available. Artillery shells will also come in multiple breaks with double and triple being the most popular. This means in one double shell it produces two breaks and a triple produces three.
Missiles

Missiles are a similar product to rockets where they come in varying sizes and are lit on the ground and propel themselves into the air. Missiles rely on their fins to fly straight and high. The small versions are ones that will produce small bursts of color. The larger version are like small Artillery Shells where they will produce a firework burst. Missiles need ample area and a hard surface for launch as they do not always go "straight."
Roman Candles
Roman Candles are made in three main variations. The standard Roman Candle is cheaper and will shoot colored balls. The more expensive version are multishots in the Roman Candle form. Usually they will come in a 5 ball form meaning each candle will have 5 shots. Each of those shots will produce an actual firework break of color and effect. The last version are the spiked high shot count Roman Candles. They will have over 100 shots shooting in a varying pace with a mix of color balls and breaks. WARNING: We do not encourage or recommend holding onto any type of Roman Candle. These are explosives and can explode in your hand.

Rockets

Rockets are a unique firework that come in varying sizes. The smallest Rocket is your bottle rocket. Nothing more than a small firecracker attached to a stick. As the Rockets grow in size so does the firework. Medium sized Rockets will produce small bursts of color and have more propulsion. Finally the largest Rockets on the market are literally small Artillery shells on a stick where it will produce a fireworks explosion. Rockets need ample area for launch as they do not always go "straight." WARNING: Do not stick the Rocket into the ground and then light it. If the propulsion is not enough it will blow up in place. Try launching out of tubes or weighted soda bottles.
Flying Items
Firecrackers

Flying Items encompass a number of different items usually unique in design. The general idea are these items are lit and they do some sort of spinning on the ground to generate lift into the air. Items will either produce a shower of sparks or some will explode. The explosion could be just noise or some color but will be small in effect. Flying Items need ample area and a hard surface for launch as they do not always go "straight."
Firecrackers are the original Firework. Today they come in the traditional brick, strip, or single fuse form. Bricks are packs of 16 firecrackers fused to go off together. A half brick is 40 packs and full brick is 80 packs. Strips are certain amount of firecrackers fused to go off consecutively. These range from 100 to 16,000. The days of single high powered "Cherry Bombs" and "M-80s" are long gone as they have been illegal since 1966 federally.
Parachutes

Smoke
Assortments

Parachutes have become a kid and family favorite. The ultimate daytime firework. Parachutes will come in varying size chutes and can be found in single shot and multishot versions. Always be aware of wind conditions when lighting these as the chute can drift several hundred yards away.
Smoke bombs are still readily available and come in more colors then ever. Some versions will have longer smoke times then others with varying intensities as well. Smoke grenades are also available and ideal for kids. They do not require a lighter as they are ignited by pulling a string.
Assortments are prepacked boxes meant to provide a grab and go variety of Fireworks. These can be dedicated to just "Safe & Sane" meaning nothing will take off or blow up. Others have a mix of all different products types. If you are looking to avoid picking out every Firework individually this is the way to go.
Fountains

Fountains are the ultimate ground Firework. These are meant for areas where aerial Fireworks are not an option. Fountains spray sparks that are many different colors and effects. They can come in fun shapes and sizes that may also produce unique effects. Fountains start very small and last less then a minute and can grow to products that last 3 minutes or more. Be aware that a few number of them will spray sparks 30 feet wide and 30 feet tall or more.
Sparklers

Sparklers are still the most traditional Firework. They are now made in bamboo handles as an option to avoid finger burning. They can be found in many colors and lengths as well. This includes a Neon variety that burns a brighter color. Morning Glories are a color changing sparkler and can be found in a 36 inch length with a 3 minute burn time!
